Demonstealer has given us a great regicidal magnus opus with compassing heavy sword-piercing riffs, outstanding death growling lyrics and soul-stomping drumbeats to get fully heaten in the feeling of making an uprise against tyranny. 🤘🏼🔥
Favorite track: Sic Semper Tyrannis.
J&S
Hefty riffs with an element of prog dexterity, pounding drums and absolutely punishing bass, topped off with some potent death vocals. Coupled with the anti-monarch lyrical themes, the whole package is excellently delivered like a brutal sentence from a one tonne guillotine. Great single!!
Sleeping Villager
Good lord, this track is an absolute ripper. The bass work is simply stellar, and the vocals are as powerfully executed as one might hope.
Regicidal lyrical content is always a plus in my book as well.

about
'Sic Semper Tyrannis' is a Latin phrase meaning "thus always to tyrants". It suggests that bad but just outcomes should or eventually will befall tyrants.
lyrics
History is doomed to repeat itself
When those unaffected are silent
The blood will be on your hands
For the good must take a stance
Speak for those without a voice
Don't turn a blind eye, make the choice
The weakest ones will pay the price
Every story demands a sacrifice
Long will he reign, a king on the throne
Just a privilege of his birth
Long will he reign, a king on the throne
For being the only son
Not life did know this king on a throne
Into riches he was born
Not sorrow did he know this king on the throne
Born with the silver spoon
All hail the king
And so he ruled
And so he commanded
And so he conquered
From a boy into a tyrant
All hail the king
All hail his majesty
Long live king
Forever he will reign.
Mark my words
The dead will rise
The dead king rises
The dead king lives
Change will not be easy
For the core is rotten
Ignorance rules the minds
Through time indoctrinated
Long will she reign, a king was overthrown
The queen commanded all
Long will she reign, the king is no more
She took what she deserved
The life she did know, you reap what you sow
She would not accept defeat
From hurt you will grow, that she did know
If her scars could speak, the stories they'd tell
You cannot have my throne
For you are not worthy
Your bloodline is of the weak
For you are not worthy
A woman does not belong
For you are not worthy
They shall not accept you
For you are nothing
The war is of ideas
To break the chains of old
The war is for equality
A freedom for all
Tear down all the structures
The barriers meant to hold
No prisoner I shall be
To this system anymore
I ascend the throne
For I am your equal I will bring change
It's what you fear
Justice will be served
For I have the strength
History will remember
Forgive but not forget
The fruits of my sacrifice
I shall not taste
The dominoes will fall
The light will not fade
He's never truly dead
Just silenced for a time
For evil will still brew
Within the hearts and minds
Are the dead ever really dead?

Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be. sachavonkarl74
